该铜雕为长方形，四周砖雕镶边，长约两米，高1米左右，雕有福运门城楼、民居建筑、树木街景等。铜雕上部写有“福运门一九二三年”字样，左下方有福运门历史介绍。
The bronze sculpture is rectangular, surrounded by brick carvings, about two meters long and about one meter high. It is carved with Fuyun gate tower, residential buildings, trees and street views. The upper part of the bronze sculpture is written with the words "Fuyun gate, 1923", and the lower left part is introduced with the history of Fuyun gate.
据史料记载，福运门建于民国12年，即1923年，当年扬州至六圩公路建成，于是在挹江门和徐凝门之间的李官人巷口（今渡江桥东约50米）开筑了一座城门，名叫福运门。为何起名“福运”二字？因为人们希望这座城门能给扬州人民带来好运。1951年福运门拆除，如今铜雕所在地，就是福运门旧址。
According to historical records, Fuyun gate was built in 1923, the 12th year of the Republic of China, when Yangzhou Liuwei highway was built, so a gate named Fuyun gate was opened at the entrance of liguuanren Lane between yijiangmen and xuningmen (about 50 meters east of today's Dujiang bridge). Why is it named "fortune"? Because people hope that this gate will bring good luck to Yangzhou people. In 1951, the Fuyun gate was demolished. Now the location of the bronze carving is the former site of the Fuyun gate.
